Kinja'd!!!

Was on a local car forum and found this beaut.

RARE 2007 V70R MT Passion Red / Nordkap (Apparently only one of 6 in this colour combo in North America)

ASKING Price: $19,800 CAN PM me for details.

6spd MT Passion Red / Nordkap (blue) 140,000km on odometer

For those that aren't familiar with the V70R, this limited production all wheel drive wagon has a 2.5L inline 5 cyl turbo charged engine putting out 300hp and 295lbsft of torque. Comes equipped with HUGE Brembo four piston calipers, electronically controlled suspension (variable from grandparents in the car to race-track stiff), all of the safety features that Volvo's are known for, a rear facing 3rd row of seats (for children only!) - allowing seating for seven. Has an amazingly smooth 6 speed manual transmission.

It is by far the most comfortable car I have ever driven - the seats are unebelievable!

Options, recent service, etc:

Brand new angle installed in August (under warranty) New rear OEM Shocks and bearings - no leaking, just seemed a little too soft and worn. Synthetic oil every 5000km Nonsmoking Dealer-installed bluetooth Heated seats Moonroof Class III 2" tow Mud guards New Brembo disks and OEM pads end of summer '13 17" Gunmetal powdercoated Peg wheels Bridgestone RE 760 Sport Tires 3rd row rear-facing seat

(no boosters, no GPS, no rear park sensors)

Interior in very good condition - some minor wear on drivers bolster

Modifications: iMIV Lite ipod player Abrams M1 Brushed shift knob Custom boost gauge cluster 30% tint Stainless brake lines end of summer '13 Powerflex bushings EST DP EST Sport Exhaust IPD track spec sways Upgraded engine mounts Fitzy air intake EST Air filter (and original OEM Volvo one to use between cleanings) Ronal 17" rims (I've got 5 of them) with 4 mounted Hankook IceBear Winters Have OEM exhaust

Accident history: There was one claim for around $1100 on the car prior to my purchasing it - I contacted the dealership in BC where it came from, was a Parking block "mishap" - the usual park over it and pull the bumper backing out - I got the car with the drooping lip and had two aluminum bars riveted together to sandwich the lip to keep it out of the way. From underneath, looks ugly, but can't see it from front.

The exterior has some small parking dings, and one dent in the plastic bumper on the rear - something backed into me - guessing trailer hitch or something pointy.

Original paint, and the hood could use a respray - lots of little chips in paint from highway driving.

The CD player, like MANY HU850's does not work, but has iMIV so I don't listen to CD's anymore anyway.

Mechanically, the car is great. Engine is VERY strong, sounds amazing - windows come down going into any tunnels!!

Interior condition is excellent - have to still give it a good detailing and then will post more decent pics.

VRs in Canada definitely seem to be at a premium hence my asking price - there is one '06VR asking $24 and another $29 - those are fairly low km cars.

So, yes, if this car is sooo amazing, why am I selling?

Well, I have the chance to pick up a beautifully maintained '90 911 (964) C4. Figured, while the kids are small enough to sit in the back of it comfortably, I owe it them and myself to get one sooner than later!!! :)

I treat my cars well, never abuse them, routine and preventative service done regularly.

Would love the chance to get the 911, but I'm VERY happy with my 7-seat AWD "911" - so not desperate to sell, will entertain reaosnable offer, but lowball offers will be ignored.

I always see one of these (red and all) driving around where I live in Norwalk, CT. Some older lady, drives it the way a V70 is meant to be driven...but not a V70R

Holy heck, in Toronto too? That's pretty sweet. My dad's looking for a ride potentially to replace our '99 Odyssey, and although he wants a used MDX, this might be good too.

You really do notice how beautiful Volvo wagons are when you stare at them, the boxy looks hide some really handsome lines.

There was one in Chicagoland at the beginning of the summer. I drove it, but the thing had 140k miles on it. Wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole because of the AWD repairs likely coming up.

Careful of the AWD systems, they typically need $$$$ repairs in the higher mileage range 120k+ miles

Yeah I actually found a few on Autotrader, but they're either high mileage or low miles and at a Volvo dealership (can we say mark up?). I like buying from a dealer, but usually the price jump doesn't get justified. And they don't always do everything they should before selling it as "certified".

I absolutely love these cars. Some of the hottest wagons out there in my opinion. The thing that really rustles my jimmies is the shifter.

Kinja'd!!!

Next to gated shifters, these are the coolest out there.
